Credit card charges for tabs
If you see $30 or $15 amounts on your credit card account
that you are not familiar with, more than likely these are credit
card preauthorizations.
Whiskey River gets a preauthorization on your card when you
open a tab to insure that funds are available for your
transaction. These are not charges but are "holds" . The
amount that you closed on your tab will be "charged" and the
hold will lift within 48 hours of the transaction. On some bank
debit cards THE BANK may hold the preathorization funds and
the charged funds.
When the preauthorization funds are exceeded another
preathorization is captured.
Example: You closed out a tab for $68. You may see a
Preauthorization for $30 and another for $30 and one for $15.
We appologize for the inconvenience but because of the loss
in credit card declines we must preauthorize. There is an ATM
at the front of the club if you'd prefer.
